Where it all began- On Guy Street

This story goes back to the beginning- to where all of it began- way, way back in time... (Vince you'll have to remind me of what year this was again- I keep forgetting)

It was the summer time and my mom and siblings went to visit another homeschooling family who lived relatively close to us on Guy Street. I think my younger siblings were loaded up in our wagon and brought to this family's house. The mom of the family apparently said we couldn't go inside, because they were selling their house. I didn't see what the big problem was. We were just a bunch of kids. What could we do?

So we kids played outside and the mothers talked. It had rained the night before so things that were outside were still wet and had little puddles. I can remember picking up a shark toy with a squeaker. I squeezed it under water of one of the newly made ponds on a blue Rubbermaid tote. I let go and it sucked up some water. Afterwards, squeezing the toy shark would produce a gurgling-squeak sound- much to my amusement. I think this attracted the attention of the other kids, and it was probably the ice-breaker for games and conversation between Vince and myself. From then on we had many, many adventures together growing up.
